Cloonan's Double Sentence

New York, 1895

John Cloonan, of East Williston, who pleaded guilty to indictments charging him with violation of the election laws and perjury, was on Friday sentenced by Judge Garretson. On the first charge Cloonan got two years in the penitentiary, and the other, six months in the county jail.


Change in a Business Firm

William K. Murray, of the firm of Murray & Keene, who have conducted the Bloodgood nurseries at Flushing for a number of years, has withdrawn from the firm. His interest will be assumed by Theodore Foulk, of Pennsylvania.
