Escaped by Jumping from a Window

New York, 1895

The house of George E. Seelman, a printer residing at Newcastle, between Hicksville and Westbury, was burned to the ground at 4 o'clock Monday morning. Nothing was saved and there was no insurance. Seelman escaped with his life by jumping from a window. The loss is estimated at $3,500.
