Thieves Make a Haul

New York, 1895

The Post Office at Cold Spring, which is located in Seaman & Bennett's store, was broken into by burglars Thursday night. The thieves drilled several holes in the safe door and blew it from its hinges. Among the booty carried away was a check for $500 and about $325 in cash and stamps.
