The Surrogate's Court

New York, 1895

Surrogate Weller heard testimony yesterday in the contested will case of Elbert Ludlum, of Oyster Bay. The Rev. William H. Washburn testified that the affair related heretofore, of the testator making a disturbance in his church, occured after church was out. From conversations he had with Mr. Ludlum he did not think him insane.

Clement B. Berylson testified that Mr. Ludlum lost his mind in June, 1893. He did not realize that his wife was dead when she had died.
