Nobly Done, Mr. Childs

New York, 1895

An $8,000 Appropriation for the Experiment Station.

(Special to the Farmer.)

ALBANY, April 25.

Senator Childs won new fame to-day.

There was a bill in the Senate to appropriate $3,500 for experiment work among the farms on Long Island, which are infested with destructive insect pests.

Mr. Childs has had the appropriation increased to $8,000.

This will be good news for the people of Long Island.
