A Handsome Office Building

New York, 1895

The passing of Senator Childs' bill renewing the charter of the Glen Cove Mutual Insurance company is a matter of considerable moment in Glen Cove. The company will soon proceed with the erection of the finest office building in the village. It is thought that the first floor will be arranged for a post-office.

Havemeyer's New Country Seat

Several hundred acres of meadow land at Islip are being filled up by William O. Havemeyer and Samuel T. Peters. After the work is completed the grounds will be laid out for a country seat for the two men. It is thought that the work will take a year.
