Want to Pay Their Debts

The committee on normal school site in Jamaica held a meeting Saturday evening for the purpose of ascertaining the committee's indebtedness for coach hire, printing, etc., in viewing the several sites. John H. Brinckerhoff, E. L. Maeder and Isaac C. Hendrickson were appointed a committee to ascertain the amount of such indebtedness.


The Awards Confirmed

Justice Bartlett of the Supreme Court on Saturday confirmed the awards made by the commissioners for the Denton, Everitt and Herzog properties in the village of Jamaica, to be taken for the Town Hall purposes.

Returns of the Election — The New Town Committee.

The Democratic primaries held In the several election districts of the town of Jamaica, to elect officers of the district associations and one member of the town committee from each district, resulted as follows:

First district — President, R. W. Searby; vice president, J. W. Schatz; secretary, John Hughes; treasurer, Dow S. Lott; town committeeman, Charles Buhner.

Second district — President, Frederick Muller; town committeeman, Christopher Sheffler.

Third district — President, Joseph A. George; first vice president, Patrick Kelly; second vice president, Jacob Sticklemeyer; secretary, David Leyshon; treasurer, Charles B. Phelps; town committeeman, Joel Fowler.

Fourth district — President, Joseph Wittman; vice president, Christian Locher; secretary, James Judge; treasurer, Joseph Jenny; town committeeman, Frank X. Sifferlin.

Fifth district — President, John J. Bodge; vice president, Ambrose Hayes; secretary, Patrick Crennan; treasurer, J. B. McCracken; town committeeman, John Kerz.

Sixth district — President, L. P. Eldridge; first vice president, L. Ruoff. Jr.; second vice president, H. W. Zimmerman; secretary, H. C. Schneider; treasurer, John Taylor; town committeeman, H. C. Derby.

No elections were held in districts 7, 9, 10 and 12, owing to a confusion of dates. The town committeemen held a meeting last Friday evening and organized by electing Joel Fowler, of Richmond Hill, chairman.
