New York, 1895
Justice Bartlett on Monday granted the application of the Long Beach association for leave to withdraw the proceedings for a voluntary dissolution of the association. It was announced by counsel that the association had settled with its creditors, and now owed nothing but the mortgage interest. The big hotel and twenty-two cottages at Long Beach are now being repaired, and business will be resumed in the summer.
No Consolidation of Classis
By a vote of 8 to 6 the meeting of the South Classis of Long Island practically decided that there shall be no consolidation of the South Classis and the North Classis. The vote was to refer the matter back to the committee which had the matter in charge and which recommended consolidation, but several of the members said after the meeting that the vote really killed the subject for the present.
