The case of Agnes McGraw, the Bayport school girl who charged Brakeman McKenna of the Long Island railroad with abduction, came up before Justice Stolworthy on Friday, and he was held for the grand jury.
Taking a Holiday.
THE FARMER is this week issued a day earlier than usual to enable the employes of the office to enjoy a holiday on Decoration Day.
Cannot Sell the Town Farm.
At the last town meeting in Flushing the people voted to sell the town poorhouse and farm. Counselor Van Nostrand has given the town trustees an opinion which says they have no power to make the sale under the vote of the people. It will require a special act of the legislature.
