New York, 1895
The Jamaica highway commissioners held a meeting at their office in the Town Hall on Tuesday. Commissioner Baker presided. Commissioner Wolff was absent.
At the last meeting of the board a petition, signed by a number of the residents of Springfield, was presented asking the commissioners to make Everitt avenue a town road. At the meeting Tuesday a petition was presented asking them not to make the avenue a town road, as it was within 50 feet of a macadamized road. The secretary was directed to notify the signers of both petitions that the commissioners would hear parties for and against the matter at their office on Tuesday, June 4th, at 4 P. M.
Commissioner Baker reported that he had ordered twenty twelve inch iron pipes for Hillside avenue.
The bill of L. E. Decker, $235.84, for work on roads in road district No. 3 from April 17 to May 27, was laid over until the next meeting.
