Aaron A, Degrauw has taken an appeal to the County Court from the awards of the commissioners for his property to be taken for the improvement of Shelton avenue, Jamaica. Argument will be heard before Judge Garretson at Long Island City on Saturday.
New Station for Farmingdale
The state board of railroad commissioners visited Farmingdale on Thursday and took testimony upon the location for a new railroad station. After looking over several sites they were unable to decide the matter and reserved decision.
Hotel Opening at Rosedale.
On Thursday next Joseph Hoffmier will open his new hotel near the railroad station at Rosedale, and his friends are invited to the celebration. There still be dancing in the evening.
Vacation
Cashier William L. Wood, of the Bank of Jamaica, is enjoying a well earned vacation of two weeks.
