An Old Landmark Burned

New York, 1895

The residence of Richard Howe, on the South turnpike at Wantagh, was destroyed by fire on Friday. This property was one of the finest on the turnpike and was one of the old landmarks which are fast disappearing from the south side. The loss is about $20,000; partially covered by insurance.
